PCM Charging (Freezing Phase)
PCM panels or packs are installed inside the walk-in refrigerators, typically on walls, ceilings, or shelving units.
When the refrigerator operates normally, the PCM absorbs cold energy and freezes at a specific phase change temperature (e.g., +5°C for a refrigerator).
The PCM remains solid as long as the refrigerator maintains its normal operating temperature.

Passive Cooling (Melting Phase)
If there is a power outage, equipment failure, or a door is left open, the temperature inside the refrigerator begins to rise.
As the temperature of PCM reaches its melting point, it absorbs heat from the surroundings, preventing the refrigerator’s internal temperature from rising too quickly.
